This website is hosted on Google Sites, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit, Google processes technical data (e.g., IP address, date and time, browser type, pages visited) to deliver the site and keep it secure; Google may also set cookies. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a professional website).

Ledger Lab is hosted on GitHub Pages, provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security and operation; data are processed in the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Ledger Lab runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored and are not sent to me or anyone else.
Optional progress saving. If you switch on "Save my progress in this browser" (off by default), your practice statistics (tasks attempted, solved, and solved on the first try, per topic) are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device, and I have no access to it. You can delete it at any time by switching the option off, by clicking "Reset statistics", or by clearing your browser data. It is stored only at your explicit request (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Visitor statistics (GoatCounter). Ledger Lab uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service operated by Martin Tournoij (Ireland), to count visits. GoatCounter sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. When the page loads, a script from gc.zgo.at transmits the page address, the referring website, and technical information such as browser type and screen size. Your IP address is processed only briefly and not stored; only aggregated statistics are kept, which cannot be traced back to individual visitors. Data is stored on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Finland. Purpose: understanding how often Ledger Lab is used. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous usage statistics). You may object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR); blocking scripts from gc.zgo.at in your browser also prevents counting.

Links to Google Scholar, SSRN and LinkedIn transmit data to those providers only when you click them.
6. Your rights
